Hi classmates and teacher,
today's post is about Art (We chose this topic). Well, I think art is important
because is a way to express things that cannot be expressed by words, also art
is important because I think that we need more than just letters or numbers,
one part of our brain works more when we paint, draw, sing, dance, etc. A part
that works less when we just write or resolve math exercises. Because of that and
because of in this educational system drawing or painting is less promoted than
other things, I think I enjoy art. Also, I enjoy art because I can express my
feelings without rationalistic thoughts. When I was a child I wasn’t interested
in art, not very much, but today yes, despite the fact that I’ve visited the
Museo Bellas Artes just once.
I think I don’t have big
artistic abilities for visual art, but the thing in which I’m better is
drawing; since I was child I’ve thought that my draws aren’t ugly. Despite the
fact that I just remember the time in which I participated in something like a
competition, but not a real competition because there wasn’t a winner. In that
competition the organizers gave us a certificate.
About my personal views I like
modern art, like graffiti, and I consider it a form of art and not vandalism if
this isn’t a tag, and is, for example, a mural.
My favourite visual art
expression is the performance, in which the astonishment and the aesthetic are
mixed, like the art made of human flesh, blood and bones, but I think
that this is a little extreme hahah. My favourite performances are the street
performance, because the astonishment is seen in a better way and my favourite artist
is a performance artist called Marina Abramovic. One of her better works of art, according
to me, is the one I’ll put below (called Ritmo 0, 1974). I like that
performance because is really shocking and true. Cheers!
I think graffiti is both an art and vandalism.
